AstroZoom privacy policy

Effective October 5, 2026. AstroZoom is an iPhone app from Endless Apps, operated by Lior Elgali. Contact endlessaitools@gmail.com with privacy questions.

Your camera and space photos

The camera runs locally to show your live viewfinder and make simulated space photos. AstroZoom does not record audio, upload camera frames or send your photos to analytics providers. Captured photos stay in memory until you save or share them. Saving uses add-only Photos access; the app does not read your existing photo library. If you share a photo, the service you choose handles it under its own policy. Saved exports are labeled as simulated.

Location and phone movement

Camera mode uses precise location, current time and device orientation to calculate supported celestial positions. Demo Sky is an illustrative scene and needs no camera, location or compass permission. Precise location and motion measurements are processed on your iPhone and are not sent to us or our analytics providers. Denied or approximate location shows guidance in Camera mode. You can revoke permissions in iOS Settings.

Optional analytics

Usage analytics are on by default for new installs. You can turn them off using Usage analytics in Camera settings. An existing off choice is preserved. While enabled, Mixpanel, PostHog, Google Analytics for Firebase and Microsoft Clarity receive product usage data to help us understand which features work and where people get stuck. This can include app-instance identifiers, session identifiers, device and operating-system information, app version, timestamps, selected simulated target, zoom range, screen names, capture/save outcomes and diagnostic information. Clarity also collects performance diagnostics to maintain SDK stability. Providers may infer an approximate region from your internet connection. We do not send precise GPS coordinates.

Microsoft Clarity can record masked interface interactions. Recording pauses on the live camera and photo-review screens, and camera/photo views are masked. PostHog session replay is disabled. Camera images and saved photos are excluded. We do not collect advertising identifiers, use analytics for cross-app advertising tracking, or sell personal data. Analytics identifiers are pseudonymous and are not a promise of anonymity.

To stop future analytics collection, turn off Usage analytics in Camera settings. Turning it off stops future usage events and interface recordings from all four providers. The app remains fully usable. This does not automatically delete data already received by providers. For a data access or deletion request, use the contact form or email endlessaitools@gmail.com. We may need enough information to locate the relevant app-instance record; we do not require you to email camera images or location.

Storage and providers

Settings and analytics choices are stored locally on your phone. Analytics providers process analytics data under their service terms and retention settings, which can differ by provider. Data may be processed outside your country. We keep access limited to operating and improving our apps and retain data only as needed for that purpose.

Provider information: Mixpanel, PostHog, Google, and Microsoft.

Support and children

When you contact support, we receive the email address and information you choose to send. Do not include sensitive images or location unless needed for your request. AstroZoom is not specifically directed at children, and we do not knowingly request personal information from children. Contact us if you believe a child’s personal information was provided.

Changes

We update this policy when the app’s data practices change and revise the effective date. The website privacy policy covers visits to the Endless Apps website.
